MY 21ST BIRTHDAY

I know.. Been 3 months plus.. Haha... I don't think I can rmb what happened lor.. I just elaborate depending on the photos la..

Weeks before my party, I pestered my Sis to go out with me to shop around for some misc stuff for decorating the place. 

Talking about the venue, I booked NSRCC @ Changi for about $600+ including a $100 deposit 2 months before the day I'm celebrating.. I had a reaaally hard time choosing the location as what I want is a big space so everyone will feel more comfortable and anyways I wanted to budget the venue to below $500, so I'm just a little over it. Haha.. I also want a place where they can accept parties. I emailed some hotels and all of 'em was like.. "All guests have to leave by 11pm".. Wtf.. A lot of my friends will only reached at 11pm -.-

I was only looking for hotels at first, cus it's like a fad. Everyone is celebrating in hotel suites or whateverrrrrr, but I really didn't like the space provided and the limitations of noise levels. That's why in the end, I chose NSRCC! I was slightly late though, the bungalow I wanted was taken and I wanted to get like Saturday and Sunday so I can go on Sat to prepare for the actual day on Sun, but Sat was taken, so I can only choose Sun and Mon as minimum booking for online booking is 2 nights.. I called to ask if I only wanted 1 night, how do I do so on the web, the receptionist told me I have to go all the way down to book over the counter for 1 night.. Suan le ba.. So troublesome.. I rather pay for one more night, save all the trouble plus save my time for other things..

Oh and if you want to view the chalet before you book it, you will have to go down to the venue at about 9-11am? If I never remember wrongly, that's what the receptionist told me when I called to ask about it. But I didn't go la.. Cannot wake up so early lol..

So after I booked the venue, I know it's time for me to book my buffet and cake.

For my buffet, I chose Orange Clove by Neo Group. I had their "Seasons buffet package", menu of the items are,

I ordered for 30pax when I think I have like say... 40-50pax, cus we planned to have BBQ after 9pm. So the buffet package costed $390, plus delivery charge at $45, total I paid about $400+ for the buffet!

And the cake!! 

I ordered my preeeeetty cake from Pine Garden! It's so highly raved about I cannot stop myself from ordering from 'em! Last year, I had my cake ordered from Shiberty's Sweet, so this year it was Pine Garden's turn! Hehe :b  So glad I did, cus last year, everyone was commenting that it's too sweet and almost no one had second servings? Except for me. Cus I love sweeeeeeet stuff. But this year, my cake was swept out. Some had even more than 2 servings.. It was lucky that my Sis suggested that we cut some out first to bring home for Dad.. Lol.. I still said, "aiya so big won't finish one la, later see what's leftover then bring home lo".. God knows the cake really finished out in a night. EVERYONE was literally asking where's the cake from.. and how much.. and when they heard the price, they all went like "wah, I first time eat such expensive cake"... LOL! I think maybe that's one of the reason why so many of 'em took so much servings hahahahaha~  I also cannot stop myself from getting one piece after another pls.. Oh!! I still rmb vividly...... Sheryl and Karen were the only ones who didn't finished their cakes and both of them just ate like half of it and I "kio" for them cus I said if both of them eat half of their's, then pass to me... I will be having one whole serving of it already lol! 

Oh, have I mentioned the price? So the cake was customized to the design I wanted and the flavor was Hazelnut Chocolate Crunch and it was a 4KG cake. Price for the cake was about $200 and delivery was $18.

Bought decorations for the venue from Daiso, balloons from those party store along the stretch further down from Bugis+ and my backdrop cloth from Spotlight. Spent about a hundred bucks I think? Don't really remember cus in the end, my Sis said she sponsor me all the decorations stuff!! Yay !!

Ok, so now I shall start on the actual day.. 

Checked-in at about 2pm, I only had 4.5hr to decorate the place before my guests comes in.. So I was really god damn thankful for the help given by the Bf, my Sis, Bestie, Lf and Karen.. Also thanks a lot a lot to the person who helped to take all these photos to let me mesmerized in the future, Hugo! Really thanks a truckloads.. Free one leh!! Where to find this type of friends right!! Haha.. Still purposely went to rent a lens for like $50 lor!! Such a kind guy..

My first guest!! 小叔！Was kinda awkward when he reached, it was still quite early and there were literally nothing better to do.. So ashamed that I got him so bored sitting there playing with his phone.. Sigh.. I'm not good at hosting, really. Lucky my Sis was around so she can help me entertain my first guest. Haha..

My Sis and all the balloons from her~ The Hello Kitty one was a surprise from her to me! I didn't know she bought it initially, but her surprise failed, cus she couldn't get the balloons to sit in the car properly without blocking her driving views, so she had no choice but to call me for help haha!! Unfortunately.......... On Saturday afternoon, she collected the balloons, on Saturday night, the Kitty one burst!! The party was on Sunday!! So before we head over to the bungalow, we had to rush over to find the shop owner to solve the problem! *problem unsolved* the owner didn't compensate us with one more, but instead told my Sis nothing like that had happened before so the most they can do is give her half price for the exact same design one.. Wtfbbq..........

Polaroid films I prepared for everyone to use! But frankly speaking, none of them actually used it. Only after like Messy's crew came, then Ellaine was like snapping non-stop of random shots with it lol.. 

I realised I looked kinda wayang that day leh wtf...

So after filling up their stomachs, gambling started.. and ended I think only till dawn.. I fell asleep comfortably already, so I not sure exactly what time all these gamblers knock off. Haha..

The following day, the house was only left with me, the Bf, Shawn and Hugo.. Bestie and Lf headed out already, Xiaogui and Ellaine left for work.. So 4 of us got prepared, followed Hugo to return the lens he loaned then went to have brunch at some dimsum place around Chinatown.. Quite yums but I really have no idea where is that place.. After filling our tums we headed back to the bungalow, I stayed in for some cleaning and lazing while the Bf and Shawn went for some billiard sessions and Hugo went back to Bugis..

In the night, we had BBQ again!

Awwwww..... I miss my bungalow~~~~ I wanna go back!!!!!!!
